Lana's Story
Went to college for a couple of years, then moved to Colorado Springs where I started working for the Welfare Department (later to become the Social Services Department) on a 90 day temporary emergency Clerk Typist position. Was hired as a permanent employee, became an assistance benefits worker, met my future husband through a co-worker, got married, moved back to Denver area, continued to work in Social Services, had two beautiful children, a girl and a boy. ontinued to work for Social Services, retired from the County office then to work for the State Department as the Director of Food Stamp Quality Control, have 6 grandchildren, and many many friends. Went out for coffee with a friend and 9 1/2 hours later fell in love with him, moved to Maryland where I now work for USDA FNS SNAP in the Quality Control Branch and share my life with this special person. Love to share my life with all of the folks who have entered into my path of life. Enjoy life!
